Not much progress in MSQ tonight. We ran a bunch of roulette cause I'm trying to get SGE caught up with my SCH so I can do MSQ on it, and then my bro lost sound and couldn't hear any of the voice acted scenes. So he logged off to restart his computer and when he tried to log back on the queue was at like 5,000.

Sooo Jay and I did some leveling, unlocked Wondrous Tails aaaand I got my SGE to 76! Only 6 to go. We'll see if it happens before the big MSQ push this weekend lol. Gonna try to do some leveling tomorrow on my lunch break and/or when I get home from band practice.

uh hi guys. happy fanfic writer friday! today i’m going to be revisiting my most popular sge fic and third most popular fic overall (for reasons i do not understand) so, yeah let’s get into this

a lot of people have been speaking out about soman’s horrible recent livestream, a lot of experiences shared, so I would like to propose one idea, to all of us, but especially to people who have stayed on his side. roll it over in your brain a bit.

intent doesn’t matter.

what soman meant to say, what he meant to get across in these books literally doesn’t matter. if you shoot someone, it doesn’t matter that it was an accident. they still got shot. you don’t sit by their side telling them to stop crying because you didn’t mean to shoot them. you take them to the damn hospital.

soman talks a big game about how we’ve “misinterpreted” the books. about how they’re “satire.” he tells himself that taking things too literally is OUR fault. he tells himself that his young fans are “smart” so that means he can project his entire adult life onto these books with no repercussions. he has the audacity to tell himself that he’s the victim, and we’re just trying to drag him down with baseless negativity. well, guess what? news flash, kids don’t understand satire. nor do they understand the concept of an unreliable narrator, for that matter. the average 8-11 year old will accept almost everything they read as truth. even IF they register that sophie is bad, or a “regina george type,” they still leave the book with the knowledge that people in this world worry about their weight, or stop eating so they can be skinny, or view fat people as liars/second class citizens. jesus christ, no child should have to think about that! no child should have to think about their body at all! every young person who reads these books leaves with a seed planted in their mind. every. single. one. do you know how many people I’ve talked to who felt like their insecurities mysteriously appeared when they started reading sge? people who had no outlet for the things these books made them feel, because members of this fandom are so afraid to talk about serious subjects? so, no, intent doesn’t matter. only your impact matters. and I cannot believe that soman is so full of himself he can’t even acknowledge the fact his actions have consequences.

if you actually care about someone, you care about the impact your actions have on them. in this live, soman said loud and clear that he does not care about this fandom. he does not care about any of us unless we stroke his ego. he does not care about our feelings, our opinions, our personal lives, our mental illnesses. he cares about how good we make him look and how much money we can earn him. he cares that we paint him in a positive light so he can keep getting movie deals and free promo. he sees us as a bunch of 12 year olds in honors english class whose attempts at free thought are futile and stupid. well, let me tell you something. we are smarter than he wants us to think. we are more compassionate, empathetic, and open to self growth than he’ll ever be. this, right here, this speaking out is the positive change he’s told us to band together and create. he will not silence us. we are right.

Good Day… And a Tom Terrific Tuesday to you! I flipped a coin this morning after hooking myself up to my antibiotic… Heads, I go back to sleep, Tails I begin to write the Pfennig.. Well, I guess you’ve figured out that it came up Tails… I don’t mean to be so flippant about whether I write the letter or not, but I have an excuse… Doing these antibiotics through the PICC-line every 6 hours, is like having a baby in the house again, and I’m only getting about 4 hours of sleep at a time… UGH!  But you didn’t click on this email to hear about my problems, so I’ll get to work!  Derek and the Dominoes (Eric Clapton) greet me this morning with their classic rock song: Layla…   

Well, another day, another day of no currency movements, or whatever there is, it’s small… For instance, the Dollar Index yesterday morning was 93.15, this morning it’s 93.11… Whoa better pull back on the reins, that’s to much movement! NOT! The important thing is that the dollar’s rally last week has fizzled out… I guess the PPT has better things to do these days… HA! 

As I look at the landscape for the currencies, it appears to me that currency traders are waiting for “something big” to trade on.. The Aussie dollar (A$) and kiwi are the two best performers overnight, and their moves aren’t anything to get all lathered up about. But… they were positive, so they had that going for them! 

I had to laugh this morning when I was going through the process of obtaining the currency prices… On the Bloomberg site, they had two headline stories highlighted back to back, belly to belly.. One said something about how the pound sterling was rallying on the BREXIT talks, and the other one, right below the first one said something about how the pound can’t rally right now because of the BREXIT talks…  Hello? Is this the Editor’s desk? Good… I want to point out this point, counterpoint thing you’ve got going on this morning… It’s confusing to say the least! What? you don’t care? Ok, I’ll hang up now and go yell at the walls, thank you for taking my call!

Yesterday, I highlighted the craziness of the painting that garnered $127.5 Million… Well, this beats that craziness in the markets, check this out!

Did you hear the news (probably not) that a European corporation, Veolia has issued a 500 million 3-year EUR bond (maturity November 2020) with a negative yield of -0.026 %, which is a first for a BBB issuer, and if that’s not crazy enough for you, the bond was oversubscribed by 4:1! Are you kidding me?  In Grant William’s Things That Make You Go Hmmm…  he quoted the great analyst James Grant, who had this to say about this issue… “Said another way, three out of four investors who wished to lose money on a yield-to-maturity basis were left disappointed.” – James Grant  

WOW! Investors lined up to take negative yields for 3 years in a bond… I told you yesterday about the painting lunacy, well this item and the fact that it was oversubscribe 4:1, is worse, if you ask me! Negative yield has become acceptable by investors… That’s just crazy!   The Craziness is all around us folks…  Stocks that won’t quit moving higher, Bitcoin at $10,000 no, wait is it $11,000 now? Bonds at negative yields, painting that go from $10,000 in 2005 to $127.5 Million now, and the list goes on..  I feel like George Costanza’s dad… Serenity NOW! 

Another example of the craziness in the world today… A dear reader sent me a photo of a man in flood waters, and a CNN reporter asking him what he thought about Melania’s shoes…  Of course that was photo-shopped but I wouldn’t doubt it happening, do you? 

Well, the overseas news isn’t completely void of anything new… The Bank of Canada (BOC), and the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) are going to hold meeting this week… But that’s about all they are going to do, as I don’t expect any rate movements from  of the two… 

Gold still can’t find a bid anywhere, and wouldn’t you know it, yesterday I highlighted Palladium, and then the precious metal went about having the stuffing knocked out of it!  Well, I think I mentioned this last week, but the news is gaining more traction this week, and I’m talking about the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, S. Africa) mulling over whether or not to go at a Gold Trading payment system…  

Why wouldn’t they? They have to be getting tired of the West dominating the price of Gold with their paper trades…  The Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE) was created as a physical Gold trading system only, so they have a base trading mechanism in my view…  I’m excited about this possibility, so I have to say that I hope that the BRICS do go about implementing a Gold payment system…   

Oh! And did you see/ hear what the former Fed Chairman, Alan Greenspan said about deficits and Gold? Well, first I need to remind everyone that Big Al was a Gold Bug long before he was the Fed Chairman, schooled by Ayn Rand… But as Fed Chairman he forgot all about his lessons about Gold, and started this whole mess we’re in…  Now skip ahead to now, and Big Al is back to being a Gold Bug, and was recently quoted as saying, ” Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the confiscation of wealth. Gold stands in the way of this insidious process.”

The U.S. Data Cupboard yesterday, had the Rocktober Factory Orders, which printed negative at -0.1%…  I told you that it would probably be a weak report, and there you go! it was exactly that!  Today’s Data Cupboard, has the Rocktober Trade Deficit… Well, in Rocktober, the dollar was fighting back and since it had gained ground, I’m going to say that the Trade Deficit will show it by widening in the month…

Look for the deficit to widen to over $47 Billion, up from the previous month’s (when the dollar was getting sold) $43.6 Billion…  

To recap…  Another day of no movements in the currencies… Well there were some movements but they were small and barely noticeable.. The BOC and RBA meet this week, and Chuck thinks that’s all they are going to do, with no rate movements expected. Chuck also points out some real craziness in the markets… And Gold still can’t find a bid…

Chuck again…  Hey! we brought this on ourselves, with all the deficit spending through the years, bringing the value of the dollar lower, and giving holders of the dollar a reason to want to remove it from their reserves…

As I look at the landscape for the currencies, it appears to me that currency traders are waiting for “something big” to trade on.. The Aussie dollar (A$) and kiwi are the two best performers overnight, and their moves aren’t anything to get all lathered up about. But… they were positive, so they had that going for them! 

I had to laugh this morning when I was going through the process of obtaining the currency prices… On the Bloomberg site, they had two headline stories highlighted back to back, belly to belly.. One said something about how the pound sterling was rallying on the BREXIT talks, and the other one, right below the first one said something about how the pound can’t rally right now because of the BREXIT talks…  Hello? Is this the Editor’s desk? Good… I want to point out this point, counterpoint thing you’ve got going on this morning… It’s confusing to say the least! What? you don’t care? Ok, I’ll hang up now and go yell at the walls, thank you for taking my call!

Yesterday, I highlighted the craziness of the painting that garnered $127.5 Million… Well, this beats that craziness in the markets, check this out!

Did you hear the news (probably not) that a European corporation, Veolia has issued a 500 million 3-year EUR bond (maturity November 2020) with a negative yield of -0.026 %, which is a first for a BBB issuer, and if that’s not crazy enough for you, the bond was oversubscribed by 4:1! Are you kidding me?  In Grant William’s Things That Make You Go Hmmm…  he quoted the great analyst James Grant, who had this to say about this issue… “Said another way, three out of four investors who wished to lose money on a yield-to-maturity basis were left disappointed.” – James Grant  

WOW! Investors lined up to take negative yields for 3 years in a bond… I told you yesterday about the painting lunacy, well this item and the fact that it was oversubscribe 4:1, is worse, if you ask me! Negative yield has become acceptable by investors… That’s just crazy!   The Craziness is all around us folks…  Stocks that won’t quit moving higher, Bitcoin at $10,000 no, wait is it $11,000 now? Bonds at negative yields, painting that go from $10,000 in 2005 to $127.5 Million now, and the list goes on..  I feel like George Costanza’s dad… Serenity NOW! 

Another example of the craziness in the world today… A dear reader sent me a photo of a man in flood waters, and a CNN reporter asking him what he thought about Melania’s shoes…  Of course that was photo-shopped but I wouldn’t doubt it happening, do you? 

Well, the overseas news isn’t completely void of anything new… The Bank of Canada (BOC), and the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) are going to hold meeting this week… But that’s about all they are going to do, as I don’t expect any rate movements from  of the two… 

Gold still can’t find a bid anywhere, and wouldn’t you know it, yesterday I highlighted Palladium, and then the precious metal went about having the stuffing knocked out of it!  Well, I think I mentioned this last week, but the news is gaining more traction this week, and I’m talking about the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, S. Africa) mulling over whether or not to go at a Gold Trading payment system…  

Why wouldn’t they? They have to be getting tired of the West dominating the price of Gold with their paper trades…  The Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE) was created as a physical Gold trading system only, so they have a base trading mechanism in my view…  I’m excited about this possibility, so I have to say that I hope that the BRICS do go about implementing a Gold payment system…   

Oh! And did you see/ hear what the former Fed Chairman, Alan Greenspan said about deficits and Gold? Well, first I need to remind everyone that Big Al was a Gold Bug long before he was the Fed Chairman, schooled by Ayn Rand… But as Fed Chairman he forgot all about his lessons about Gold, and started this whole mess we’re in…  Now skip ahead to now, and Big Al is back to being a Gold Bug, and was recently quoted as saying, ” Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the confiscation of wealth. Gold stands in the way of this insidious process.”

The U.S. Data Cupboard yesterday, had the Rocktober Factory Orders, which printed negative at -0.1%…  I told you that it would probably be a weak report, and there you go! it was exactly that!  Today’s Data Cupboard, has the Rocktober Trade Deficit… Well, in Rocktober, the dollar was fighting back and since it had gained ground, I’m going to say that the Trade Deficit will show it by widening in the month…

Look for the deficit to widen to over $47 Billion, up from the previous month’s (when the dollar was getting sold) $43.6 Billion…  

To recap…  Another day of no movements in the currencies… Well there were some movements but they were small and barely noticeable.. The BOC and RBA meet this week, and Chuck thinks that’s all they are going to do, with no rate movements expected. Chuck also points out some real craziness in the markets… And Gold still can’t find a bid…

Chuck again…  Hey! we brought this on ourselves, with all the deficit spending through the years, bringing the value of the dollar lower, and giving holders of the dollar a reason to want to remove it from their reserves…

WOW! Thank you Lynn! What a sweetheart!  I had a doctor appt. yesterday. 1. If you had to change the pairing’s very first meeting, how would you change it? 

Hmm, that’s a good question! I like how Agatha wasn’t all over him when they first met, but I am not a big fan of how she was rude to him after he was polite to her, so maybe i’d have her be more confused after they initially meet? like she wants to hate him, but he just seems sad and confused so she stands rather netural on him. he seems lost, like her. she still wants to go home, yes, but if what it takes it for tedros to fall in love with her best friend, so be it. there are worst things to happen. 

meanwhile, tedros is curious about her, but he keeps his distance because he thought she was a witch, but she seems so smart and impassive, maybe she’s not? she’s good at being good. keep in mind teddy’s never been good at those challenges. not only does this give them a little bit of chemisty they didn’t have in sge, but it also makes the trial by tale thing much more important to their relationship. it’s tedros, realizing wow, she isn’t a witch, she really is good, and he starts to see the beauty in her before she changes. 

agatha begins to part from sophie, and is confused at the liking she’s started to take to this boy. he’s been hurt by sophie, like her. they have something in common. he’s always been polite, but something starts to change. just little changes that result in big changes, y’know? 

3. What is your favorite AU/prompt idea/trope for your pairing? 

I’ve always been a big ol fan of mutual pining (as you all know) but I’m also a sucker for when agatha or tedros are oblivious or trying to hide their feelings (won’t say i’m in love from Hercules is my favorite relationship trope). in all my tagatha wips (one tagatha centered lmao) i’ve either had them established or in states of denial. it’s fun with these two. i love bending time periods, denial, pining, all that jazz. it’s all so good.

I love your never! Agatha au lmao. that was the first thing i thought of, it’s just so good. also a big fan of exes agaster who Still Have Feelings Tm but also i like the idea of that a ten things i hate about you fic that i like to think about solely, 

no one asked so i’ll break it down. 

new girl nicola meets and immediately falls head over heels for sophie, who mind you, told her she was pretty, so nicola is allowed to dream- and eventually, sophie confesses she can’t date until her younger, irritable, cynical, angry sister does. nicola has plans for her and sophie for prom, so therefore nicola is unofficially tasked with finding agatha a date. 

hort, who wants to get on the good side of the popular kids, is very enthusiastic about this and they begin to brainstorm on who would be a good pick for agatha. dot, a cheery girl on her rugby team suggests her good pal hester, who hates everyone and everything and has been in a bit of a bad spot ever since anadil dumped her, for hating everything and everyone.

but hester refuses to ask out some agatha, but nicola stands her ground and says she’ll pay her to go on one date with her, so hester agrees. plus, agatha’s cute. maybe anadil will be jealous!

meanwhile, agatha’s accepted into this really good college in like, camelot or smth idk but stefan wants her to stay close to home, so she’s emo too. 

so dot says it’s a match made in heaven!

thus, the three begin 

hester has agreed to the deal, but agatha isn’t really into her and ignores her first advances.  nicola and hort try to help him by prying sophie on what agatha likes, which is a very small list. they both have a love for angry girl garage bands, so hester asks her to go with her to see a concert. this piques agatha’s interest, and she agrees. 

at the concert, they start getting close over the music, and agatha starts to open up, about college, and wanting to start a band. hester is very supportive and when she drops agatha off, agatha gives her a kiss on the cheek, which sophie sees and will not forget, ever. 

They go on a date a second date which turns very romantic and hester’s not even thinking out anadil, and agatha is genuinely having a good time, but she get’s suspicious when hester insists they go to prom. she hates prom. meanwhile, sophie is irritated that nicola hasn't asked her to the prom, but nicola is unsure on agatha and hesters status and is holding off. 

agatha decides to go with hester, and that gives nicola the clearance she needs to move on with sophie. 

theres a lot of other plot stuff in the movie, but i just want my kids to be happy. they begin to date after prom and when hester admits to agatha about the deal, agatha is very hurt with her and asks “was any of it real?” and they unoffically break up. 

hester doesn’t know what to make it up to her, so she looks to her friends, and they hatch a devious plan. 

agatha is sitting in the field outside for gym, hating everything when she hears the beginning chords of a familiar song. the gang has hacked into the speakers to the song she and hester danced to at the concert, but it’s hester performing it on the bleachers. agatha tries to stay tough, but before she knows it, she’s laughing and singing along. 

they rejoice and kiss and get back together.
